Sports, Games, and Crafts with KEEN

Skip the gym and help a child with special needs discover how much they can do through open ended sports and arts activities! Activities range from bowling and throwing footballs, to coloring pictures and creating artistic masterpieces. KEEN’s mission is to empower youth with disabilities by providing free, non-competitive one-to-one exercise programs. You can learn more about KEEN at http://www.keenusa.org/. New volunteers to KEEN must fill out a 1-page volunteer info sheet. You will need to list three references. The application can be found here.   When: Saturday October 21 from 1:00p.m. to 4:30p.m. Where: East 54th Street Recreation Center (348 East 54th Street) What to wear: Athletic gear or comfortable t-shirts and jeans. Georgetown gear is always encouraged so we can easily find each other. Most importantly, wear comfortable shoes as we will be on our feet for most of the day. Please do not wear:   T-shirts with inappropriate or offensive sayings or designs Clothing that exposes your midriff.  We do not want anyone to attract any unwelcome attention.
