Celebrate Chinese New Year: Gong Xi Fa Cai (Mandarin) or Gong Hey Fat Choy (Cantonese). The culinary art of dim sum started in the Chinese Province of Guangdong (Canton)   It began in NYC in 1914 at the Nom Wah Tea Parlor (the oldest dim sum restaurant in North America) located at 13 Doyers Street, which has been the site of numerous movies and TV shows including the Amazing Spiderman Movie 2 where Spidey orders shrimp dumplings.
